Precisely because of the Internet, more and more men are discovering wide range of opportunities for meeting Russian and Ukrainian brides, whether as acquaintances, friends, or life partners. The biggest challenge to online dating thus far is how people hide themselves behind the cloak of anonymity, which is the actually the biggest obstacle to building trust between online partners. Of course you naturally want to trust the people we love, but it is a different case in online dating. Some measure of healthy scepticism is required and it is also good not to rush things - do not rush building a serious relationship and do not rush yourself into believing everything you have been told.

Another common, albeit dishonest, practice is uploading old pictures to profiles online. Men and women are alike, they do want to look good in their profiles, and so they decide on uploading years old photos. You can expect that their looks do not exactly match with the ones you see on the pictures.

Yet there is a far bigger challenge to dating Ukrainian and Russian brides online. Some ask money from their men, indicating all the woes in their lives. In many cases, it is hard to deny the lady's requests. However, if you do not want to become a victim, stick to the rule of not sending money to women you have not personally met or do not trust. Make this rule your own.

In general, there are ways to avoid being scammed by those fraudulent Ukrainian and Russian dating sites. You can always go by the route of common sense and work only with the larger online matchmaking websites. Probability is they have built a good reputation to warrant your trust. If you are now corresponding with a woman, read carefully her letters and check if they are consistent, or consistent in the information they share with you.

Avoid sending them money or if you still decide to help, make sure the receiver has to show their passport when receiving it. If your lady, for instance, asks you to send the money to another name and passport (her mom, sister, etc.) you should begin to wonder if the person you correspond with has not faked her identity.
